This depends on the product. CBD oils are typically placed under the tongue for 60 seconds before swallowing. Capsules and gummies are swallowed like any other supplement. Start with a low dose and adjust gradually to find what works for you.
There is no universal serving size, and individual needs vary. If you’re new to CBD, many people choose to start with a low amount and adjust gradually if needed. The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) currently advises that healthy adults should limit their CBD intake to 10 mg per day. Children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and people taking medication should avoid CBD unless advised by a healthcare professional.
A standard drug test looks for THC, not CBD. However, some CBD products contain trace amounts of THC, and in rare cases this could trigger a positive result. If you are subject to drug testing, consult your employer before using CBD and consider a broad-spectrum or isolate product with zero THC.
Full-spectrum contains all cannabinoids found in hemp, including trace THC. Broad-spectrum contains multiple cannabinoids but with THC removed. CBD isolate is pure CBD with no other cannabinoids. Full-spectrum products also contain other natural plant compounds found in hemp alongside CBD.
